You Mirin — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how You Mirin ("we", "us") handles personal data in connection with the You Mirin software, website, and Discord community (together, "the Service"). We are the data controller for the information described below.
1. Data we collect
Account data. When you purchase through Whop, we receive your email address, name as entered at checkout, and your Whop user identifier. We use this to deliver your licence, grant Discord access, and send transactional emails.
Operational data from the Software. The Software transmits anonymised crash reports, performance metrics, and licence verification pings to our servers. These contain no personal account credentials, payment card numbers, or shipping addresses.
Support data. If you contact us by email or on Discord, we hold the content of your messages.
Discord data. If you link your Discord account to your Whop purchase, Discord shares your username and user ID with us so we can assign the correct community role.
2. Data we do not collect
Payment card details entered inside the Software for use on third-party retailer sites are stored locally on your device and are not sent to us.
Retailer account usernames and passwords entered inside the Software are stored locally on your device and are not sent to us.
Shipping addresses entered inside the Software are stored locally on your device and are not sent to us.
Payment card details used to purchase a You Mirin subscription are processed by our payment providers (Stripe and PayPal through Whop) and are not retained by us.
3. How we use data
To deliver, verify, and renew your licence.
To provide support in Discord and by email.
To improve the Software based on crash reports and performance data.
To send you service-related messages (e.g. subscription renewal reminders, security notices).
To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4. Lawful basis for processing (UK/EU GDPR)
Performance of a contract — to deliver the Service you purchased.
Legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent fraud and licence sharing, and improve the Software.
Legal obligation — to retain records for tax and audit purposes.
Consent — where required for optional communications; you can withdraw consent at any time.
5. Sharing with third parties
We share minimal data with the following processors:
Whop — for billing, licence delivery, and account management.
Stripe and PayPal — to process your payment.
Discord — to assign your community role based on your purchase.
Email providers — to send service-related messages.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data for marketing purposes.
6. International transfers
Some of our processors (Whop, Discord, Stripe) are based in the United States. Transfers of personal data outside the UK or EEA rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent legal mechanisms recognised by the UK Information Commissioner's Office and the European Commission.
7. Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your subscription is active, plus a reasonable period after cancellation for tax, audit, and anti-fraud purposes (typically up to seven years as required by HMRC). Anonymised crash and performance data may be retained indefinitely.
8. Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to:
access the personal data we hold about you;
have inaccurate data corrected;
have your data erased (subject to legal retention requirements);
restrict or object to processing;
receive your data in a portable format;
withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email general@pc2go.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect personal data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure; if you suspect a breach of your account, email us immediately.
10. Cookies and the website
Our storefront is hosted on Whop, which uses cookies and similar technologies as described in Whop's own privacy policy. We do not operate our own tracking cookies.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on the product page. Material changes will be announced in the official Discord server.
13. Contact
Data protection queries can be sent to general@pc2go.co.uk.
